Ok. Ok. I know I should be posting hot men in this attachement. ;-) But I remember someone saying that they liked having the picture of the Lamborghini on the home page because they had a hard time 'visualizing' the cars. So I thought I'd post the others in JZB collection. Collector Extraordinaire...wait til you see the Maybach, and the going rate...$375,000.00.
1 of 3 'Wolf Countach' in existance, one is owned by a collector in Japan, another is in a museum in Germany, and the other? With our own JZB ;-)
The last car in the attachement is the car that Mac talks about on the way to O'Bannions, it is the Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder. Anyway, just thought I'd share.

Holy F**kin Cow indeed! The Maybach makes me think of the Batmobile. Pretty cars. I'll stick with the Mini, thank you.
It was kind of cool to see these, I appreciate the post!!

It Does! The Maybach in this pic is a concept car called the 'Exelero', the one KMM talks about in DF is a 57s, MSRP $377,000, outside it looks like any other large luxury sedan, but it's what is inside that makes the car sell for more than the average person might pay for a house! :03:

I must admit, I don't get the car thing at all. I know there are some ugly-looking things out there, and some beautiful things too, but as long as it gets me from A to B, doesn't need loads of maintenance and is pretty nippy, I don't really care. If I see a guy in a flash car, it puts me off him.... I think he has more money than sense.
I don't like speed, I don't think it proves anything and if I had a shed-load of money, it definitely wouldn't go on a car. I love driving though. I appreciate that in terms of telling a story the car can tell you about the man, but in real life... I'm not impressed. Is it me?

No, it's not just you. I may occasionally see a car and say "oooh, Pretty!", but I probably couldn't tell you what type of car it was. I have a few faves but I've become very practical and I want a Mini Cooper. Other than that, if I see some (usually old) guy in a Porsche or something I have to kind of smirk. My friends and I call those "penis extenders".
Morwen
Thanks for posting those Pyxie. With a teenage son in the house, I know all about the "exotic" cars that he drools over. They sure are fun to look at and dream about!

I'm not much for cars but I love the fact that this is an obsession that JZB and Mac share. One the one hand, Mac is so girly - but she knows cars! A funny contrast .

Thanks for posting the pics, Pyxie. I'm not much into cars, either. As long as mine gets me where I want to go & doesn't break down on the road, I'm happy. But those cars are beautiful, and give us an idea of what JB & Mac are riding around in. Oh, to be 22 again & riding around in a hot car with a hot guy! I forgot who said it already, but usually it is the old farts tooling around in the cool cars--How sad!

Those are really sharp looking cars and I am sure JB looks real ggod in one of them. Personally I prefer the "muscle cars" of the 60's & '70's. There is something about that low throaty rumble of power that I still enjoy!! CelticMorwen FYI: If you haven't already bought a mini; ask about the repair cost and the run flat tires, if the mini you have or interested in has them. Don't ask the dealer, ask someone who works on them. I have been in the auto service business for 33 years and minis have high service and repair bills; very high. They are cute though. Just thought you might like to know, not trying to be butinsky.
Jeant, I'm with you, love those muscle cars!!! Actually got to drive a Firebird for a week, fire engine red, and boy did I get the looks! It was great for the ego! Have you read the Black Dagger Brotherhood books? One of the brothers has a fixed up GTO - I fell in love instantly!!

I do that too, I may see something that looks cool, but have no idea what it is. Usually with a flash car the guy has to be a certain age to be able to afford it anyway.... and I must admit, I do tend to think that there's a lot in your description of those kinds of cars driven by certain kinds of men :65:
Now I think about it, I would rather see JB on the bike he has. I have always had a thing for bikes.....

Daria, me too!! Do you think he'd be a Harley guy, with the big, deep rumble engine, or a racer kind of guy on a Ducati, leaning over to go with the wind? Either way, can picture him in leather jacket, black boots, helmet under the arm............
HMMMM!!

I think he'd be a Harley guy :drool-vi: because of his size and strength... I can't recall if the bike was identified in the book (I don't think so, I would have remembered). Yeh.... black leather head to toe, tight round the thighs.... then he takes his helmet off and shakes his head a little as he casually places helmet under left arm ... ::th_thud: and don't start me on the boots....... <passes clean away, smiling>

He would HAVE to be a Harley guy. He likes power and, to me, Harley defines bike power!!!:anim_headbang-vi: I don't even want to think of JB in leather!!!:th_thud:

Don't worry...I used to own a 1963 Mini and things fell off all the time. lol As much as I'd like a new Mini, I am way too practical and since i used to work for Toyota, I will be buying something from them first. Thanks for the info, Jean!

Mac does actually mention that she 'can't see Fiona straddling the macho black and chrome Hog' on pg. 72 of the paperback, so I bet it is a Harley, I can definitely see JB on a Harley! :drool-vi:
I kinda picture it like the bike in the movie Ghost Rider...umm...minus the flaming skull and tires. :D

I am so jealous!!! T'bird ranks right up there with GTO, Charger, & Chevelle's. Man, you couldn't have squeezed my inflated ego in that T'bird. I bet that was more than fun!!! Now that you have said GTO in the brotherhood books, I will have to read them. I have read so much on the board about them I have been wondering if I should read them. I definitely will now. We, I work in a service shop, had a 1972 red GTO convertible with a tan interior come in, I begged them to let me test drive. They didn't:crying-vi: It was gorgeous!! I was talking to the guy who brought it in and he said he had bought it for his wife because she wanted one. Why couldn't I find a man like that????:th_love-vi:

I love porche...I am such a car freak, I actually helped my EX-husband use a cherry picker and pulled the manifold off of his 67 'vette stingray, and helped him put a lift kit on his 66 Ford Bronco, so cars have always been on of my favorite obsessions. When I was a teenager (back in the day. LOL) I used to hang out with a pit crew, and used to watch their driver go and qualify for Nascar races, man there is nothing like the sound of a car going going almost 200 mph and hummin' around a track! I think it's cool that Mac has a car obsession too. ;-) The one car I want to see added to JZB's collection is the one KMM mentioned - The Bugatti. here are a few pics...
Ok, wow, NO IDEA why I just shared this freak piece of info about myself, sorry!

Sometimes, maybe not all the time, it is that we can now afford what we wanted in our youth, so we get it and don't care what anybody thinks. We want that car and are going to have it to finally enjoy. We paid our dues and got our rewards. (sounds kinda preachy, didn't mean for it to)

LisK, I just got my copy of Rhage's book and just read the part where he puts the pedal to the medal and Mary went "flying". Brought back some great memories. You are right, instantly love Rhage (really all the bros) but the GTO hooked me and his understanding her need to "fly" made a soft spot in my heart and a tear in my eye.:happy0159:

Ok. I know that you all are going to be like "FIGURES" but I have to share.
I LOVE CARS AND TRUCKS! The faster the car, the better. The bigger the redneck truck the better. I know that they are just cars but something makes me go WoooH! I don't know why. Shall I give you 2 for examples? Ok.
First there was Patrick and his Aston Martin Vanquish (LisK and all of you Lynn Kurland lovers, you KNOW what I'm talking about. So here is what that looks/sounds like.

Great pics, Pyxie!
Lol I remember when I finally got to meet my man's mother & step-dad. He did mentioned they were really into cars but "forgot" to mention the fact they lived on an freakin' estate... WITH A DETACHED GARAGE FILLED WITH 19 RARE & EXOTIC CARS!... at that point I proceeded to go "oooohhh hoo hoo HOO!!!" and wiggle my fingers together Mr.Burns-style. I was probably making this face too: :drool-vi:
I was like... whoa!!This is exactly like Mac in Darkfever!! Now only if I could get MY man to chain me up in there... mmm... or watch him drive one of those beauties and pretend he's JZB... but no, alas it's another case of an old man in a porsche...

Now most of you know that I am an avid car freak, everything from muscle cars to sleek new sports cars. I also think I do a fairly good job of keeping up with concept cars, but the car I am about to show you is a first for me.
Now this car boast 330 MPG :th_thud: 330 miles on a gallon? Sounds good. And it isn't a joke, it can be driven on a road. But my question is - would YOU drive this car?!! LOL. here's a picture. It's called Aptera. It definitely beats the Countach in fuel efficency. But I just don't think I could drive this. It kinda looks like a pregnant batmobile.

Okay so I am not a big car fan and would spend money on something else if I had it (chance would be a fine thing !!!!) but this car - call me old-fashioned - looks too toy-like to be taken seriously. It looks space-age too.... but sort of naf. I wouldn't drive it even if it was a present. I'd probably sell it and buy a Ford Ka !!! :65:

Ok. So after seeing all of these lovely cars, I have a new theory about JBZ based on three facts: He's dark and muscularly sexy, likes to run around at night, AND has badass taste in cars.
Ready?
JZB is really Batman.
JZB is really Jericho Z. BATMAN!!!
And Mac is Robin.
*ducks the tomatoes*
Ok, sorry. Couldn't resist. All of those awesome cars make me think of Batman and the upcoming "The Dark Knight" movie, (for more than just Keith Ledger). We need get one of our lovely artists to do some creative art that way! JZB as Batman, the LM as the Joker, and Mac could be Robin with Fiona as Alfred the butler. Hehehe...
