I never really listen to the radio so it's hard for me to find new songs. So I thought we could post new songs that we like here and maybe I can get a heads up on some fun new songs.

:th_whistle:My latest downloads are:

Enrigue Iglesias "Do you know what it feels like"

and

The Plain White Ts "Hey there Delilah"

As you can see, I'm more of a poppy, love song kind of girl.

I love working out to the new P!nk cd (I'm Not Dead). Who Knew, and U&Ur Hand are awesome to run to.
Also listening to the new Gwen Stefani alot - Sweet Escape is great to drive to.
Other songs I keep on my ipod alot lately are: Yellow by Coldplay, Lose My Breath by Beyonce (or Destiny's Child?), Island in the Sun by Weezer, Without Me by Eminem, Work It by Missy Elliot and Sexy Back by JT.

Love the new Maroon 5 song (wasn't really in to their earlier stuff though).
I'm also a bit embarassed to say that I really like the new Avril song "Girlfriend" and that new Mandy Moore song "Extraordinary.":th_note:

I love U & UR Hand! Great girl power song and upbeat to walk or exercise to.

I'm more of the Ozzy Osbourne, Hinder, Daughtry, Nickelback, Finger11, Three Days Grace, Korn, Evenscence, 80's hair bands kind of listener. I have left out a lot, I just can't think of them all. But on the other hand, I also like Celtic Rock, Bagpipes, Celtic, late 60's and early 70's songs, too. Not much into country unless it's rockin', I detest the cry in your beer songs (had to listen to it growing up). Only rap I like is Kid Rock. I've always said I can usually find at least one song from any artist I like.

I love Nickelback, too! I love "Savin' Me." Can't ya just picture Dageus rocking out to that song?

I haven't listened to much radio lately either, but I LOVE Bucky Covington's first single. He was on AI two seasons ago with Elliott Yamin... Elliott whom I ADORE. :you_rock: I still can't believe that boy is deaf in one ear and can sing like that! He sang "America the Beautiful" on the 4th of July in Washington. He did great and looks to have gained a lot of confidence onstage.

Unhappy and lost pharmacy clerk turned singer. I love that! (Sort of like unhappy lawyer named Gerry turned actor ). He and Bucky are best friends these days.

Here's Bucky's MySpace page that I just found. It has "A Different World" playing on there. I love the lyrics. (Though I guess that alone should make me feel old :th_duhhhh-vi: ). I also like his "Bible and the Belt" song. That one's more rock than country.

And here's my (and Mom's) sweet Elliott:

I have Nickelback's "Animals" as my ringtone. So funny to see the faces of 20-somethings when my cell goes off to that tone. LOL

I like a lot of different types of music. I just bought the new Maroon 5 cd so I'm kinda wearing that out at the moment, but I also really like Sandi Thom. I think she's great and listen to a lot of her album as well.

Melonie, we have very similar tastes in music, including Girlfriend, Lina turned me onto that song.

Speaking of which, I'll download the rest of those Plain White Ts songs. I really love the Delilah song.

OK. I did as Leiha suggested and moved the JB Playlists to the Darkfever board. But I have to tell you, that is the music I'm listening to all the time now. ;-) I can imagine driving around in a very fancy and unique car with music blaring from the sound system!

cheers & happy listening,

I love listening to 80's music, heck I am easy to please. On my trip though I have been listening to classic Areosmith!

I love everyones choices! We have kids around so we have to stick to the tame stuff. Right now hubby is on an ABBA, BeeGee's and the Time Life greatest 70's collection. I can't wait until I can whip out a Def Leppard cassette! LOL

Oh, I like Hilary Duff(daughter's old favorite-cute and pretty safe) but if I had to listen to her CD one more time I thought I would die. Now she's moved onto High School Musical, Avril's "Girlfriend" song, Hanna Montana......goodness, I'm only 36 and our daughter is ruling my RADIO! UGH! LOL :)

Claudia, I totally think you should do a separate thread for JB's playlist and post it in one of the FEVER threads. In this one it will get buried and that way people can find it easily. You put a lot of work into it and you should totally show it off.

Cheryle, I love 80's music, too! Would you know that my 12 year old nephew pretty much listens to nothing but 80's music? :D

My little niece likes Hannah Montana.

And I agree with Leiha, Claudia. You should post the master list where it won't get lost so easily.

I have 4 song suggestions I've been meaning to tell you about. (Hope they're not on your list yet).

1. Savin' Me by Nickelback
2. Pompeii by E.S. Posthumus
3. Requiem for a Dream (Clint Mansell)
4. O' Fortuna

Other ones which might fit are Come on Closer by Jem, and Gravity of Love by Enigma.

All are on my MySpace page if you've never heard of them. Anywho... just some ideas. ;)

Candyman, but Christina Aquillera is one of my current faves. It is sort of like a '40's tune, but with updated lyrics. If I ever put together an Adam Black playlist, this would be at the top of the list - it really makes me think of Adam!

I haven't listened to the radio in a while either and I like the poppy love songs too. Mainly alternative music. Right now I LOVE Paolo Nutini (Scottish), Snow Patrol (both albums), Agustana, The Fray (every damn song is great!), Amy Whinehouse, Damien Rice (great alone time singer. They call him an Irish Troubadour). And I really like that Delilah song too!

It's a cute little ditty with a cute little video to go with it. I wish I looked that great in hot pant shorts!
Look at all the innuendo!

"Tarzan and Jane were swingin’ on a vine"
Candyman, Candyman
"Sippin’ from a bottle of vodka double wine"

Sweet, sugar, candy man (Hey, uh)
I met him out for dinner on a Friday night
He really had me workin’ up an appetite
He had tattoos up and down his arm
There’s nothin’ more dangerous
Than a boy with charm

He’s a one-stop shop
Makes the panties drop
He’s a sweettalkin’, sugar-coated candyman
A sweet-talkin’, sugarcoated candyman

Oh yeah yeah

He's a one stop jive, makes my cherry pop
He's a sweet talkin sugar coated candy man
A sweet talkin sugar coated candy man

He took me to the Spider Club at Hollywood and Vine
We drank champagne and we danced all night
We shook the paparazzi for a big surprise (a big surprise)
The gossip tonight will be tomorrow’s headline (oh)

He’s a onestop shop
Makes my cherry pop
He’s a sweet-talkin’, sugar-coated candyman (oh yeah)
A sweet-talkin’, sugar-coated candyman

(Scatting)

He’s a onestop shop
Makes my cherry pop
He’s a sweet-talkin’, sugar-coated candyman (oh)
A sweet-talkin’, sugar-coated candyman

Woo yeah
Well by now I’m getting all bothered and hot
When he kissed my mouth he really hit the spot
He had lips like sugar cane (oh)
Good things come for boys who wait

"Tarzan and Jane were swingin’ on a vine"
Candyman, Candyman
"Sippin’ from a bottle of vodka double wine"
Candyman, Candyman

Sweet sugar candyman
He’s a one-stop gotcha hot
Makin’ all the panties drop
Sweet sugar candyman
He’s a one-stop got me hot
Makin’ my uh pop
Sweet sugar candyman
He’s a onestop get it while it’s hot
Baby don’t stop
Sweet sugar

He got those lips like sugar cane (yeah)
Good things come for boys who wait
He’s a one-stop shop
With a real big uh

He’s a sweet-talkin’, sugar-coated candyman
(Say what) Sweet-talkin’, sugar-coated candyman
(Say) Sweet-talkin’, sugar-coated candyman
Sweet-talkin’, sugar-coated candyman

Oooh yeah, oh oh oh, oh
Candyman, candyman
Candyman, candyman
Candyman, candyman
Candyman, candyman

"Tarzan and Jane were swingin’ on a vine
Sippin’ from a bottle of vodka double wine
Jane lost her grip and a-down she fell
Squared herself away as she let out a yell
