I'm in the Black Dagger Brotherhood books - now reading about Rhage. I will go right into the next and the next, and then will hardly be able to wait til Sept when the next one comes out.
I blame Cheryle and Gina....... all the talk about these books got me hooked!

But we were right, were we not! I'll gladly take the blame for this one! :) And I'd have to say it was the JR Ward books that I couldn't put down. Before that...KMM's books! And there's been like 100 books in between!

Remembrance by Jude Devereux.

Ros, I loved Born in Sin! When my mother said she didn't care for it, I was like  .

And ya can never go wrong with Julie Garwood. She was my introduction to romance novels.

We are of like minds here...these along with LORA LEIGH'S BREEDS (erotic and I know Tish's favs also) and Sara MacKenzie's IMMORTAL WARRIOR series are worth the cost. Donna Kauffman's Highlanders are also entertaining . Did anyone mention Janet Chapman's Scots too ?!!

I love Lora Leighs Breeds - they are a bit off the beaten path, but good stories none the less. I also enjoyed Lauren Danes vampire/witch stories set in NO. Not usually into vampires, but these weren't bad just to pass the time.

I also just read Elizabeth Lowell's Innocent as Sin. Pretty good, but not one of my faves of hers.

Oh you're so welcome chickie! I've got some more ARCs to give away, so there'll be another contest shortly.

As for the question - the last BESTEST book I read was a non-romance: JONATHAN STRANGE & Mr. NORRELL by Susanna Clarke.

I can tell I'm going to like a book if I keep skipping ahead to find out how it ends. I'm doing that right now with "Sunshine" by Robin McKinley (I think is the last name). It's a vamp book, and if it's endorsed by Amber Benson on the cover, I've gotta check it out!

What last book did you read that you were unable to put down???

It's 05:54 in the freaking morning here and I just couldn't put down Marliss Melton's Time To Run, the 3rd installment in her SEAL Team 12 books. I started reading the first book last Friday, I think, and I started on the third one tonight and it's the first book in a long arsed time that I read that kept me burning the midnight oil.

Okay, time to get some zzzzzzzz's.

Oh, Robin McKinley is great-- don't you just love Constantine? Not a smutty book at all, but she does first person so well, and really creates the world her characters live in beautifully. I own all of her books. "Beauty", "Rose Daughter" and "Sunshine" are my favorites, but I will read anything that she writes. She has a new YA (I think) book about dragons coming out soon.
