Apologies if someone has already asked this - but is there any clue as to when Darkfever actually happens? I am just musing about all the various theories (I can't keep up and haven't read Bloodfever yet!) but I keep coming back to this : when does this happen? Are the MacKeltars sitting in Scotland - all 3 of them - at this point? Is Adam somewhere in the US? Is Circenn about somewhere? Or is the timeline totally irrelevant? I can't help thinking that these events will slot in somewhere.... I am convinced that they are part of a bigger picture. I think Darroc was Mac's sister's fella, but then what happened to him at the end of Immortal? Or does this happen before the events in Immortal? See? I just keep going round and round......
Anyone have any idea or definite info on how it fits in with the other books in terms of who has what power and is living in the here and now?

This is after immortal.... my guess its 6 years after spell. because dont forget she goes back one year to tell us everything from the beginning

At the end of Spell, Aoibheal mentions that her present is 5.5 years in the future when the wall is down between the worlds. Therefore, I would think she is writing it from the 6th year, but it takes place in the 5th year after spell.

I won't post any spoilers in case you haven't read all the books leading up to this series, but I will recommend you get your hands on and read thoroughly:
The Highlanders Touch
Kiss of the Highlander
The Dark Highlander
The Immortal Highlander
Beyond the Highland Mist
In that order if you can! Good luck and happy reading!!

The other thing is that in Immortal.... 5 years goes by and Abby and Adam have started a family and that is when Adam suddenly discovers he has a soul, and that his daughter apparently can see the Fae.....
and that Aoibheal had been visiting their daughter... so definatly at least 5 years....
I have to re-read Spell.

i think its 6 years from the end of Spell because it says in Spell a little over 5 years from then that the walls of fae had come down and that the unseelie were ruling. then when you add the year that Mac has gone back to starting when she gets the call it adds to around 6 years....
that's just what i think anyways
