Hey there Ladies,
I was wondering what you all thought of the shades. I for one think they are the most powerful of the Unseelie. They only way that we know of to avoid them is by keeping on the lights and bolting/locking everything out. Since Mac is a Null and can freeze a higher class Fae for a few moments then you would think that she could do for the shades which is a lower class for a longer period of time. As we know thats not the case. The Shades are the reason you fear the dark. So what do you all think? Do you all think the Shades are in a class all by themselves?

I think the glossary says that they are a lower caste of Unseelie. I think what they are able to do is their only form of protection so maybe they are a class all by themselves.

Barrons tells us they are lower caste, but the problem is they are shadows--they are not solid for Mac to "touch". I don't think she believes her "null" powers will work on them--I personally would be afraid to test the theory myself! lol

Now that is definately the truth there! I would not want to touch them either!

Hey Ladies,
I was reading your posts (thanks again for replying) and got to thinkin about a good quote for the Shades, it's really a quote from The Bats horror movie but oh well here goes "How can you hide when the dark is alive?" OHH does that not just fit the Shades to a T?

That is a very good description for the Shades, I wonder what is it they are feeding on in humans where it dries them up like that?:a20: It is a puzzlement...:33:

You are right that quote really does fit the Shades! There is no place to hide from them except the light.
