View Full Version : Consider JB's Heritage as Pict in relationship to Aedan

Hi Lasses,

I came across this article & I wanted your theories on.

"Throughout history, these Picts have been shadowy, enigmatic figures. From the outset, they were regarded as savage warriors and by the time the Norsemen were compiling their sagas, and histories, the memory of the Picts had degenerated into a semi-mythical race of fairies.

Theories abound, although these days it is generally accepted that the Picts were not, as once believed, a new race, but were possibly the descendants of the indigenous Iron Age people of northern Scotland".

But the revelance. of this article is that according to real Pict hx. the 34th king of the Picts was Kenneth McAlpin. In KMM'S Into The Dreaming, according to Queen Abby, Aedan is his decedent. I THINK ALL OF THIS suits what we read of JB. I have always said HE HAS THE ARROGANCE OF A ROYAL.

JB must have ancient knowledge and if the Picts were equated with "semi-mythical race of fairy" per Deja and fae wore adornments per K's books so far,ADAM=torque, V'Lane=cuffs, JB has both...yes he is a definite fae based on what we've read. I still hold with the rest of the theory that he is cursed or damned also...:65:GREAT job Deja !

Is there any significance of wearing both the cuffs and the torque? If Adam only wore the torque, and V'Lane the cuffs, what does it mean if one wears both, would that put them on some other fae 'level'?

Yes, that would be the logical choice. I think that I concluded that JB was of a royal house. His torque is silver & black. The Seelie queen had visited the Unseelie & was with him on 2 ocassions (Immortal pg.161). Silver=white=Seelie + Black=dark=Unseelie ? Kelli Jo/ TEASER JAN 2007 referred to JB as a dark fae & d*mned...JB is the cursed son of Seelie/Unseelie (?) house ??? BUT definitely royalty because of the two adornments.

I just had a thought. What if JB is like Adam Blacks son Circenn, where he's half fae and half human. Not all the fae can have babies with mortal women, but sum can. We only know of Adam doing it. He could be a seelie or unseelie mixed with the human. It would explain some of the things he can do and can't do. He's a rebel in his own rights. :) What do ya think.

:a20:Della,
I've been toying with the idea that J.B. may be a Fomorian...a semi-devine mythological race that pre date the Tuatha De Danann...I don't know...too much time on my hands.. just a thought ..anyway Hi, I'm new here....Virginia

Fomorian you say ? I've never heard of the group. What geographic location, racial characteristics, and examples can you supply about them would make you believe that JB was of that mythological culture to begin with Virginia ?

I am liking some of these theories. Even though he can be a complete A$# to Mac, I am lovin' on JB. I actually had a dream last night where I read Bloodfever and the answer to what he is was on the 2nd page. I was so excited. And then I woke up. Grrrr. :crying-vi: I have always had a completely overactive imagination.

If you Google formorian it explains. The first listing or the second is what I read. I don't think JB could be formorian since they are tied to the sea and I have not read anything that ties him to the sea. It does make very interesting reading though. It does mention other races. It is very interesting in some of its mention of the fae (can't remember how to spell t d word) Good investigating Virginia!! welcome aboard:happy_face_waving:

I agree with Cheryle....JB is definitely of a royal house. His arrogance and awareness of self are above the norm.

Interesting thoughts Jo, "Seelie/Unseelie" mix. Is it possible that in the King and Queen's affair a mixed heir was born? I have not researched this at all, but wouldn't that knock it all about? That would explain all fae knowing of him and not interferring with him.

I did . They were a mythical race of pre Tuatha de Danaan in Ireland.Tuatha De Danaan fae represents the gods of human civilization of the Celtic Isles/scotland/Ireland/Wales/England. Folklore suggests that they were giants/trolls/sea demons/pirates and represented gods of chaos & wild nature. It is believed that Fomorians were from Africa descended from Noah's son Ham. I used wilkipedia.com, infoplease.com, and encarta.com.

In Immortal Highlander, page #161, Queen 'A' had stayed and fornicated , by this passage , with the Unseelie King, who has yet to be named of a race who has yet to be named (per Into Dreaming),for quite a time upon two occasions. We know that the Seelie Fae & royalty were 'jewelry' and it has been of gold, the Compct w/Keltars pure gold. Therefore gold represents a connection to Seelie it seems. JB wears a torque of silver & black & silver scrolled cuff. Unseelie Hallow of the Dark Mirror is silver, pewter metal blackend & cold. Adam wore a torque & cuffs of gold, V'lane gold cuffs & torque (we asssume), both Seelie princes...JB could be direct line prince of the affair between Unseelie King & Queen A (?)...Torque & cuff proves JB is fae & royalty...I believed cursed & damned searching for The Dark Book to break the curse himself...Or did JB touch the Dark Book and become something else entirely per Spell of the Highlander page #240...or is he going to blackmail the fae responsible for cursing him in the first place by finding out the TRUE name of the fae ...What do you think ?

Now Jo that is a darn good argument. When put like that I may have to change my opinion on alot of things.

Hmmm. someone else posted what the Formorians were on a different thread. I've been thinking for a long time that JB was cursed by a god - not one that the Tua De worship, and not a Christian god. A primitive god, and maybe the same ones that the 13 Druids that plagued Dageus are said to have called upon.

So its great (new) information to realize that there was a semi-divine race that pre-dated the Tua De. I have no idea how it all fits together, but I think you may be on to something.

PS - welcome to the board Virginia. Post often!

I dont think he might be a formorian because they are described alot to have only one arm or eye. Meaning they didnt really to to human.... But there may be something else out there that he might be... even though i still belive he might be somehow fae or connected to them because he can sift

because he can sift

dont forget that some of the Druids can 'sift' too - remember that Dageus did it in his penthouse with Chloe. And there is another Druid who did it, but I can't remember where now.

I thought the group of people said to be Faeries were called something else and intermingled with the Picts before they went underground?

I think you could be right. As I was reading BloodFever, I kept thinking that JB was just like Circenn. He could definately be the son of a Fae. Maybe V'Lane is his father and that's why JB can't stand the Prince... Exactly reminencent of the Circenn/Adam issue.
