Barrons girl or a V'lain girl?

Who intrigues you more? Given as much we have seen revealed so far in Darkfever, who are you thinking Mac should pair up with?

I love JB, he is dark and seductive he is shrouded with mystery. V'Lane is tricky I may change my opinion as the series goes but right now JB has my heart!

I am definitely more intrigued by JB. He's full of mystery and surprises. You never know what he's up to and which way he's going to go. I envision him somewhat like the character of "Angel" that used to be on the TV series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer." :wink-vi:

I have to go with everyone else... Jerricho... is definitely my favorite. V'lane is intriguing but we know exactly what he is almost....he's fae and that really puts him on one side of the fence. Where as Jerricho is completely a mystery.

I can't wait to see what he turns out to be and I want to see both Mac and Jerricho lose themselves to each other at some point.... so exciting.

I;m a Jerrico gal myself , I too sort of put him in the league with Angel,
kind of dark & tough be underneath soft and cuddly.
Don' t think I trust V,lane yet but I think he may surprise us,
We will just have to wait and see...

I hope i done this reply right. I am a JB girl. I can't figure out why but there is just something about him that makes me go YUMMMM!! I like V'lane but I would rather come home to that mysterious hunk JB. I think Mac should end up with him as well. I too can not wait till we get some more info, i think i'm going insane.

Ahahahahahaha, you guys are gonna think I'm nuts, but personally if I were Mac, I wouldn't pick one or the other...I would take them both and eat them with a spoon. Why deny herself the pleasure of any of their company, just take them both, it's not like they're not willing.

V'Lane is just your typical, "I'll give you the ride of your life" kind of guy, he is obviously willing and able, so why shouldn't Mac enjoy it.

As for JB, well he is alot me mysterious, but the underlying sexual tension between them is unmistakable. I would love to be in Mac's shoes, just to enjoy the sexual byplay with Jerricho.

Definitely Barrons. It's that mystery and intense aura he projects. I can easily picture Gerry in that role, painting Mac's toenails. :drool-vi: Gerry painting women's toenails is sexy.

Amy buy both, then you can be a goober and take notes just like some of us. I bought 2 hard covers. One to keep pretty and one to jot notes in. My DD has it now and is adding her own observations. I love this series!!! I am hooked. Now I am looking or the new cover for hardback. I wonder if it is for the paperback only?

...reading the booklet swung me over to the V'lane side of things for the moment. I'm sure before Karen is done I will be jerked back to JB's side then probably back to V'lane's side a few hundred more times...but can I complain? Of course not! I'm loving every minute of it! :th_wub:

How could you not love V'lain? I mean remember Adam? He was an irritating arrogant pain in the petunia fae royalty at first too, in fact he was a vilain in BTHM, but then... look at all the lasses crazy over him!

Since I only have one book to go on right now, I'm a Barrons girl. V'lane would be great in a Highlander-type scene, if you catch my drift, for the time being. I might have to change my opinion in later books!!

OK. I've thought about it, and here's the reason I have a problem with V'Lane.

With Adam, it is (sometimes exquisite) seduction - the choice is always up to the person. Adam, of course, is always confident he can successfully seduce someone into wanting him. :65:

With V'Lane, he uses the (whatever the name is) to magically make the woman want him. This takes away the choice, and it is not sexy at all. :th_duhhhh-vi:

V'Lane would turn his partners into marionettes, whereas Adam likes the fire within - the challenge of someone resisting him. Of course, now we know a little bit more because of the booklet, and I won't say anything about that. But I'm still unhappy with V'Lane. My sense is that if Mac thinks that it is rape, then it probably is.

Yes! I'm with you! Those are my reasons too. I loved the way you phrased that. And also when he told Mac to 'Be young, be pretty, ... and go home.' (after burning her image to CD in his mind!)

Mac has somewhat of a relationship with JB (whatever you want to call it) were as so far with the Fae hunk she only has these weird moments. But we only have the first book so far. And I remember one of the teasers saying some thing like this:

Mac- "I don't want him to touch me, but I do not want to live not knowing what it is like to be touch by a fae."

"Come here," he commanded

Oh my god, he's going to touch me!

It something like that, so something may happen with V'Lane and will JB walk in on them? (hopefully not)

It shows you how truly wonderful Karen's writing is that strong, funny, intelligent women like us are panting and begging for the next book! Friends of mine who don't read for pleasure (their loss) don't understand the torture I'm feeling, but you girls do!
