did anyone else notice on pp 49 in DF paperback that Mac
fell almost immediately into a deep dreamless sleep but then when she was awoken by Barrons:
i sat up, rubbing gritty, tired eyes that felt as if i'd just shut them seconds ago. ... i'd been having a fantastic dream. Alina and I were playing volleyball up at one of the many man-made lakes built by Georgia Power, scattered throughout the state... . The dream had been so vivid I could still taste Corona with lime, smell coconut suntan oil, and feel the silk of tucked in sand beneath my feet.
does anyone else find that odd? could KMM made a type when she said "fell into a deep dreamless sleep" or could this be a part of Mac's "other talents"; could it be a hint for Dream Fever? Maybe she wasn't dreaming and she was sifting through time in her sleep???

Somebody already pointed this out. It is possibe to fall asleep so deeply that you don't dream and dream right before waking. Most of the time when I dream I don't dream until right before i wake up. But yeah, she is having some weird dreaming connections like with the castle and frigid landscape in BF. I think she is defiently going to enter the dreaming at some point and possibly come across the Unseelie King as I take the frozen castle to mean :)

cool, makes sence.. thanks for clearing that up!
and i definitely agree with you that about the castle thing and her going into the dreaming, but I don't know what my feelings are about her encountering the Dark King. I think she might meet him but i don't think she will spend alot of time with him only because it may defeat the purpose of having future novels and series if all loose ends are tied with the Dark King.
actually.. i dunno what i think. Anything could happen. I think i am just going to stop speculating until the next book comes out. maybe?

You know I was just listening to this again today. And the same scene stood out to me. It reminded me sooo much of of what V'lane did to Mac when he gave her the beach scene with Alina. How they got to talk, she was able to feel her and hear her voice like it was real. But she knew it was an illusion that V'lane had given her. I'm just curious as to Barrons having the same affect or "power" that the Fae have such as V'lane. She (Mac) just didn't know it then. What do u think?

I've been reading this as well and thinking about Mac time with a certain fae prince. What I am really thinking is that there are a darn boat load of hints to this series in the first book! I mean at the begining Mac is talking about the walls coming down and then getting ahead of herself. Then she forshadows dreamed time with fae prince , but one of the truely wow molments I had was when she is discussing her sisters and her movie habits and Vampires Eew. (Maluce), Werewolves....guys ruled by their inner dog (LMAO - Barrons?), and Time travel ~ creature comforts over hulking highlanders. (Mac?)Pg.68 paperback. Oh yeah....Dark Fever is worth it's weight in gold if you really want to know what is/might happen. :60: Karen is a great story teller!
