Well I was thinking, and I may be way off here but......

I remember a recent post on how JB name means moon.
I wonder if karen is putting that song in to give us forewaring about something.

In darkfever, when Mac is comparing herself with JB when he comes to her room at the Inn. She says that he is night a dark and stormy one.

In the song BAD MOON RISING there is a verse

"I hope you have got your things together
I hope you are quite prepared to die
because whe are in for nasty weather
one eye is taken for an eye"

Could this be a forewarnig about JB/?

well... I think there is definitely another shoe that is going to drop about JZB.

And remember that some of the reviews have said that what is coming out about JB in the next book will be 'shocking' and 'sinister'.

Could JZB be a werewolf/changeling creature/uber-bad guy HUNTER? Some kind of ancient warrior race whose raison d'etre it is to keep the world SAFE from these evildoers? Like Templars, Berserkers - a people with a mission?

That would explain how we knows all about how dark the dark side is.

That would put him and Mac on the same side, and also explain a bit 'bout why he was so dismissive of her at first: THIS little girl is going to help/join me and fight against the Dark side? Ha! She has no idea of what she's getting into....
