Check into this website that lists Celtic mythology. It gives a detailed account of the 'FAIRY PEOPLE".

www.timelessmyths.com/celtic/celticworld.htm

Check into the Otherworld :

***"The "Land of the Dead" became associated with Spain, where the Milesians come from. While the "Land of the Living" (or the "Land of the Happy Dead") was said to be situated somewhere west of Ireland. It was said to be on some island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, and it was originally the home of the Partholanians."***

***"Tech Duinn – "House of Donn".
Tír na nÓg – "Land of Youth".
Tír na mBéo – "Land of the Living".
Tír Tairngire – "Land of Promise".
Tír fo Thuinn – "Land Under Wave"."***

Tir fo Thuinn - "Land Under Wave" aka "Land of the Dead" .

So from other texts, it would be that the fae here would be classified as FORMORIAN. That's why JZB knows the sewers well...So well because he has spent his life down there. Not Unseelie as first thought. Unseelie is the only group we know that resides Underworld...until THESE passages.
This is where I believe JZB was born aka the Basque/Celt reference in DF.
This is proof that he can SWING (hehehe) both ways as Druid/sorcerer/FORMORIAN prince/fae/warrior or any other way you need to list it. AND JBZ is cursed....too.

Any thoughts ?!!

Great research Jo! :2v-vi: I couldn't get to the web site to check it out though. I'll try it again later. But I like the theory, it makes sense about JZB. I still have to question how he moves so fast or sifts though time. Can the Formoriam sift, or are they just extremely fast? Is that expained on the web site by any chance?

I couldn't get the website to open, eithreer, so I googled www.timelessmyths.com. Geez, Jo, where do you find these websites? How cool! Boy did I learn alot, and spent about 2 hrs. sitting at the computer on my petunia reading instead of painting the kitchen like I'm supposed to be doing.

You won't get an argument from me about JB possibly being born in Basque coutry. By the way, when I was looking up info on Picts, I ended up on a site about genotypes that did a study & found that 70 some% of the people on the British Isles had the same genotype as the Basques, for real. Thought that was interesting.

I'm sure I can find it on my (endless ) website history. If you don't mind waiting a few days, I'll look for it after I actually finish a room. I took 2 wks off so I could Paint 4 rooms, fix some stuff, & do yardwork. Yeah right. Got 1 more week to make NOTICEABLE progress.
