    Default An 80's party....

So my work is planning an 80's themed Christmas party this year. We've never done a themed party before but us younger girls have set a precedence to dress up. I grew up in the 80's but the music was pretty much the only thing that I can actually remember liking...So I need your help ladies! What the heck do I wear to an 80's party?! My friend wants to dress up like the Flashdance movie....LOL But I refuse to go in leg warmers, a leotard, and a wide necked sweater! So if you all can post pics of how you dressed in the 80's I can get some inspiration.....come on ladies! Help me out! I promise not to laugh....I can't speak for the other ladies though....LOL
You say you want some soaps, lotions and candles that smell like your favorite man or woman??? www.solocreations.ecrater.com

How about this? I was born in '81, so I was in diapers and My Little Pony outfits throughout most of that decade. lol

You could watch "Pretty in Pink" or "The Breakfast Club" for inspiration.

Fluorescent colors and big hair with feathered bangs drowned in hairspray.

And don't forget those fluorescent colored rubber bracelets. Lol!

Okay... just looked through one album... Sooo NOT happening. The pic I spoke of in my disco duds was 1978... so it doesn't count anyway. But, the rest... unh uh Not gonna post them, no way!!!

But, I can say... it appears pooka-shell and sharks teeth necklaces were also popular from what my friends and I were wearing in some pics. Sweat bands and funky exercise outfits. LOL Blouses with longish bow-ties and regular but loose ties for girls... sweater vests, multi-layered shirts, rubgy shirts (though that got into late 80s and more 90s I think), hair bows, button down shirts... Izods... spandex and big sweaters,

bannana clips, hair combs, big hair, funky colored make-up...

    Exclamation

lol. I hated the 80's dress...loved my hightop converse though. They were black...wore then with my uniform.

Get a puffy evening dress, nylons and a pair of black converse. That should do it!
