Hi!

I've posted a few times and finally decided to come over here to the Tea Room and introduce myself (thanks for the heads-up, Vicki!).

I recently obtained my B.A. in English, so I'm a bit of a literature snob. If you've ever taken upper-class English courses, you'll know how many professors view popular fiction novels. So, when my friend suggested that I borrow her books DF, BF, and FF, I was a little wary.

Boy, was I surprised! KMM definitely kept my interest. Her style and technique is far beyond the popular/genre fiction my professors preached against. I know the old saying about not judging a book by its cover, which I tend to do in a lot of ways. I could barely sleep last week for reading the three novels, and now I think I'm anticipating DrF as much as my friend, a long-time fan. Already, I've scraped every crumb of KMM's work that I could find between Sunday morning and now. I've read all of the DrF teasers and The Lady Lies (which, by the way, is awesome!), and I have the first Highlander book on order, along with hardcovers of the Fever series.

I'm so excited to have been introduced to KMM's world and her maniacs. She truly is an excellent, creative, and original authoress, and I'm more than ecstatic to add her to my collection. I can't wait to discuss and explore the intriguing and subtle nuances of the KMM's work with all of you.

How wonderful it is to discuss such great works with so many!
