    It pretty much is a comic book, but a complete story rather than tiny "episodes" (for lack of better word) Usually they become graphic novels when the comicbooks are bound together into one volume to tell a full story. This sounds like it is going straight to graphic novel form and skipping the individual comic book process. :)
