Sure, give me an inch and I'll want a mile.
Are the Dani books still going to be graphic novels?
Are there tentative dates for the release?
Will we ever learn whoc the lady lies to next?
Dani's books aren't slated to be graphic novels. The graphic novels are indepedent of Dani's books and will be centered in Mac's Fever World and around the Fear Dorcha.
The Lady Lies is actually going to be published, but there's no timelines available yet for any of the publication dates :D
VP's best yet
Thank you very much for this juicy tid-bit O' information!you just made my day
How this for booty!!
I commented on this very thing on another site. But we have to remember that Dani was in the Fever series, around adult characters involved in adult situations that made the books adult books. However, not once was Dani in an adult situation herself. Or at least one that would be considered controversial.
This next set of books is going to be quite similar I imagine. Dani and Dancer will be the only youngins in a book full of adult characters involved in adult situations. I could be wrong, but I'm not convinced Karen's statement is implying she's taking Dani to a whole new world of controversial adult experiences like Mac went through. My first thought was, the other adults in the series will be facing issues that would make it straddle the fence uneasily between YA and Adult. And as far as Ryodan and Christian hooking up with Dani? I don't see it.
I do see Ryodan having some kind of complicated lust/hate issues with Jo maybe. Isn't it always the ones that get under your skin and annoy you, that always turn you on as well? I think sumpin's up there with those two. As for Christian? My guess is there will be new characters introduced in this next set of books that we've never met before. Or maybe they were there, but such a minor part that we overlooked them. We'll just have to wait and see.
Just my thoughts.

I've never squealed so involuntarily before until I read this. New series and then it goes back to our first and foremost beloved characters? A reader's dream!
Fabulous on the extra "Fever" books! I love the idea of Ryodan and Christian's stories, but Dani's just too young for a relationship with either of them, so hoping we get some great new heroine's for them. The only thing about Dani that I really want to see is Mac going and finding her and reestablishing the relationship...so with Mac and Lani and Jack, I figured Dani would turn out ok. I guess I have to wait and see where those go. I'm sure I will read them just because I love KMM's writing. As for the additional fever stories, that's great because I still a lot of questions I realized as I was relistening to Dreamfever the other day. :)
As for NC-17 for the movies. I wouldn't want them to be NC-17, I prefer some things to be left for my imagination! Plus I would like to drag my daughter and a couple of her friends to see the movies with me, and there's just certain things a mom doesn't do with her daughter and that type movies is one no matter her age! LOL

This is great! I too have questions about some things that seemed left open.
Ryodan....wonder if we are finally going to get a description of him in the new fever books!? Or how about his character in Fever movie? He is not actually in DarkFever. Anyway, if Dreamworks does make movies out of all of the books, wouldn't it be interesting if it is filmed in such a way that Ryodan is always in the shadows and we never see his face. Talk about dramatic suspense!

I've noticed that a lot of people are suggesting that Dani's book shouldn't involve her in any sort of adult or sexual situation. I'd like to remind these people about the nature of Moning's books, let alone Dani's character. Each one of her books revolve around a sexually charged atmosphere, and each one contains sexually explicit material. Throughout the Fever series, Dani always talks about killing or having sex... I mean, that's all she really talks about. Left and right, she's always fantasizing about Barron and V'lane. To take away her fantasies and desires, then that would take away Dani as a character. Also, there's no need to be ignorant about the sexual nature of teenagers; teens have sex. It would also be out of Moning's writing style to exclude any and all sexual content from the book.
In regard's to the Fever movie(s), it would be impossible to make it rated PG-13. A rated PG-13 movie can not have excessive gore, rape, excessive swearing, or nudity. Anyone who has read the books should realize that without all of these things, the movie couldn't work as a Fever movie.
Here are some examples:
Gore: Ever since Mac has killed her first Fae, there has been really graphic, bloody, and brutal fight scenes throughout the rest of the series. There are also disturbing scenes of decaying flesh when Mac stabbed Malluce.
Rape: Mac obviously got raped at one point. This changed her character indefinitely. It also set in motion a lot of events that could not have taken place if not for this scene. First, she turns Pri-Ya, which led to A LOT of sex with Barrons. The sex with Barron's made her stronger and ultimately set up a new relationship between the two. After getting out of her Pri-Ya state, Mac became immune to the Fae's sexual prowess, which is crucial.
Swearing: Dani drops the F-bomb every two seconds. How can you get around that? If you take that away from Dani, then how is it Dani?
Nudity: Don't make me laugh. If you take nudity out, you take sex out. If you take sex out... Then it isn't Fever.
So, in conclusion, Karen, don't change your style. It would take away from what makes your books, well... your books.
