Does JZB have a soul?

So, I was thinking, in, The Immortal Highlander,Adam reveals that the immortal soul cannot live in an immortal, and , in fact, dies if a mortal becomes immortal. Assuming that JZB was mortal in the days before they died in the desert, does he still have a soul? Does Mac, for that matter, being as she is long lived and difficult to kill? If they don't, can they get it back, or finally get one, like Adam? It stands to reason that they would have to become mortal for that to be possible, right? "Speculate."

I suppose that Mac would still have her soul, as she has yet to be long lived long enough for it to have died...
