Default Question about this series

Hi everyone. I'm new to this site and this author, and I am completely addicted after reading the fever series(can't wait for Dreamfever). I really want to start the Highlander series, but I have a severe kindle addiction, and the series is only available in ebook form, starting with book 4.

I want to order a hard copy of the first book, but my impatience is making me want to get the first kindle edition I can find.

My question is, do the books stand alone? Can I start with Kiss of the Highlander, and not be completely lost?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to respond, and I apologize if this question has been asked before?

I also apologize if this is the wrong area to post this question.

HMM. that is a great question, never thought of Christian having a twin, but as it is a thing with the Keltars, wonder why he doesn't? Maybe hsi twin is the DEG?...lol

Kiss spoiler--for those who haven't read the book & still plan to, let's just say it's highly unlikely that Christian has a twin who's the DEG from Fever:

As was pointed out to me prior to reading the Highlanders, Christian does indeed have a twin: HER name is Colleen.

From Kiss--Gwen & Maggie talking:

"I take it these lovely ones are yours?" Gwen said, offering her friendliest smile.

"Aye, my youngest are Cory and Cara," she said, gesturing toward them. Cara said hello again, and Cory smiled shyly. "And these"--she waved a hand at the dark-haired teenage twins--"are Christian and Colleen." They chimed hello together.

"Plus I've two on the way in a few months," Maggie added. "As if it weren't obvious," she said dryly.

And....Gwen does note that Christian could be Dageus' son, with the distinctive Keltar looks and golden eyes. NO, I don't think that's who he is, let's not start THAT rumor! LOL....

Now, since it's already been mentioned that Maggie talks about twins running in the family, here's the next problem. Fraternal twins, such as Christian & Colleen and younger twins Cara & Cory, don't run in MALE lineages, since they are produced by fertilizing two separate eggs. Impossible for these four to be used as an indication of the so-called Keltar twin predominance. I'd still like to see an explanation of that!

I was referring to Christian's father, Christopher. Christian does have a twin sister, Colleen.
