Icon21 Highlander and Highlander. The Path of Influence

Hey everyone,

Its been absolutely forever since I've posted anything new on this website and I miss the community !!! SOOOO... I am jumping right back into the scene with this post...

Alright so I obviously adore every word Ms. Moning prints and I once remembered reading in a response she wrote to a question that Dageus MK would be played by Adrian Paul, the actor from the Highlander TV series. I took it in passing and didn't really pay attention to it too much, I noted the utter sexiness of Paul and went on lusting after Dageus.
However this past Christmas (* i told you, i've been long a while) The Sci-Fi channel had a Highlander marathon. Starting with the movies and going through the best of the series. Being the ennui stricken person i was, i watched avidly and came to this wonderful enlightenment. Highlander the TV series is arguably the bare bones blueprint for not only Dageus but for the all of the men of both the Highlander and Fever series.
Now, I am returning both to the books and to the television series at the same time. Reading and watching both in unison, the influence is clear, beautiful and amazing. Duncan MacLeod and pretty much is Daegus, just as Ms. Moning said, but we can also see the characteristic glimpses of all our other favorite men as well.

Basically i write this to share this gorgeous epiphany we all the other Maniacs whom i know salivate as i do other Daegus and the other panetheon of men. Well my amazing reader friends, we don't have to just imagine any more, we can watch the adventures as well.... to the Highlander series... utter male amazingness... amen !

I've always thought of Dageus as looking like Adrian Paul!

So funny you posted this because just these past two weeks I've be TIVOing Highlander from the SYSF channel. I was a child when the series originally aired so I never watched it then, but now I've fallen in love with Adrian Paul. KMM definately got a lot of ideas for her men from him. I see a lot of Barrons in him. He tends to answer questions with questions, He tells Tessa he's obsessed with her, sounds like Barrons and Mac, and numerous other things. I abso-freaking-lutly love it. Glad I'm not alone, my husband thinks I'm crazy.

I agree. I love that actor. I am very much into the highlander series. I have a sword that has the word McCleod on it. I do not know if I spelled that right. I long for Karen to make a movie on this series, but that is up to her. But, who would be Drustan?

Adrian Paul is the best man to play one of our many highlanders. He's gorgeous and he has the Highlander thing down already. I was too young when the series first came out. Both I love the tv show and movies. I can see where Karen got some of her men from. -sighs dreamily-

You have the claymore with MacLeod on it, too? Mine stays near my bed. LOL Adrian Paul is

I have always wanted that sword. Ever since I saw in the movie. It's so freaking beautiful. MacLeod was writing so beautifully on it too. I love my swords. I was wonder if I can get it at the one store. Hmmm.

I don't know where my son got mine. For a while we had a sword store in one of the malls here, but it's no longer in business. I have seen them at the Scottish Festivals at one or two vendor tents. You might try that.

My boyfriend has that sword. Up until last year, he worked for the company that sold those swords, and he got it as a spiff (something like a performance bonus). I could give you the number there, but the salespeople are the most aggressive I've ever heard of. Their website is legendaryheroes.com. One warning though: once they have your number, they will NEVER stop calling you.

I already have problems with people I don't know calling me all the time. I'm so not to get some company doing the same. No thanks. I think I can get it at this store in my mall. It's not out of problems. I know it has swords from other movies. Like Lord of the Rings and Narnia.
