Default I think JB is the Dark King(Bloodfever discussion)

okay ladies. Here is wy I think he's the Dark Unseelie King. I re-read DarkFever VERY carefully:

a) he's desperate to get a hold of the Sinsar Dubh
b) The Dark King is known to have a concubine, and I think Fiona is his concubine, judging by her near possessiveness of JB and her jealousy of Mac
c) the torques he wore indicates royalty, as you will all remember that Adam had worn torques as well aroud his neck.
d) The shades are REPELLED by him, which means they fear their King.
e) I also believe that Darroc .aka. Lprd MAster looked completely stunned when he saw J.B. The rest of the Unseelie's appeared just as stunned, butI doubt it was sue to J.B's high jump. I think they were sh**ing bricks seeing their Unseelie KIng betraying him.

Those are why I feel that J.B is the Dark KIng. ANy ideas ladies?

Wow....all these are great ideas. I cant wait to find out what JB really is. There is definitly something going on with him and both the Seelie and UnSeelie. He can walk among the Shades, he has some sort of history with V'lane and he has one of the ancient mirrors that he uses to walk between realms. I'm not sure he is the Dark King but I could see him being a direct discendent of the DK. Hopefully we will find out much more in the next book!!

Something incredibly kinky involuntarily entered my mind.

And then we find out he's running a Fae harem under his garage...

I don't think Fiona could be his concubine. He doesn't seem to like her. The Unseelie King pretty much sacrificed his soul and the whole world for his concubine.

I was thinking he was the DK about a month ago... now I'm kinda stuck on something else.

I downloaded the audiobooks on iTunes to listen to while I'm working, and something in Bloodfever made me rethink my original semi-conclusion. I can't remember what it was now, but it was intriguing at the moment. I think that Mac's phone call with IYCGM in Bloodfever set up even more questions for me, so I'm getting back to the Keltar books now before I listen to the next two Fever books - again. I wish I could jump into their world for a couple days and do a little research of my own. :p

KMM is brilliant, no question - she's set us up well :). I can't wait to see how her brilliance manifests itself in the next book.

I don't think shes his concubine because doesn't it say that she killed herself?

Default The concubine committed suicide, didn't she?

When Barrons came through the mirror holding the dead woman covered in blood and ice, I, like Mac assumed he had killed her. Did we jump to a a hasty conclusion? Perhaps Barrons is the Dark King and was carrying the poor woman from another dimension through the mirrors after he discovered her cold lifeless body.

Karen confirmed that he killed her.
