OK, while awaiting ShadowFever, I have begun rereading the Highlander series.

Dark has always been my favorite, I guess for the way it was written and the characters involved.

My favorite part is in the airplane on the way to Scotland.... I mean, full on hot flashes with that one. Whuh, as Karen would say.

What is YOUR favorite part from Dark?

I swear on all that I love, that I cannot choose even just a handful of scenes from that book. The entire story is perfection. Every little thing Dageus says and does has me hooked.

Hair so long it skims his waist. Black. Shiney. Thick. Silk. The kind that makes your fingers itch with a longing to bury themselves into. Run your fingers through. So you do. Right then and there. Grabbing fistfulls of silk in the middle of an ecstacy so wonderous it makes you gasp for breath instead of screaming that you surrender !
The pulse beat strong along the lines of his throat in perfect union to his heartbeat. The heart you wanted to feel pressed into your own chest. Echo the beat it pumps. So you do. Unclothed. Together. Breast to chest. Warmth. Heat. Muscled wall encasing you. Burning. Sizzling. Within the arms of a warrior. Yet for all that strength there is a tenderness. One that compells him to gently brush a stray lock of your hair caught on your eyelashes.
Back and forth with erotic intent he grinds himself into you. No one man should ever possess what he makes you realize is his erection. The size of which you've never felt before. In this lifetime. Or the next. Ten. You feel the wetness between your own legs. And you want. You'll even beg. For it. From him. And you do. Out of breath. On the top of your lungs. That you want. All. Of him. Hot and demanding. Now.
Your hands reach around to grab his perfectly round, hard *ss in your hands. To stop him from retreating. Not stopping him as you should. You want him to grind, to torture...to take you. Right to heaven. Right now.

Hey, this is my first post!!

Dark is my most favorite of all of Karen's books, I've read it so many times, I almost have it memorized! It's hard to pick just one scene as a favorite, but here are a few that I love:

When Dageus sees Chloe on the street when he's in the cab.

The first time he kisses Chloe on the bed.

On the couch when Chloe is drinking the port and smoking the fat cigar, I wouldn't have said stop!!

The morning he sits in the hallway in the castle waiting for Chloe to come out of her room and he backs her against the door and tells her that she is beautiful and describes the first time he saw her and leaves her speechless.

When Dageus is tied to the pillar and he thinks back over the time he has spent with Chloe.

When he asks her to marry him, the Druid way, on the couch after he returns.

Gosh, so many good ones, I should just paste the whole book on here!!!

Hay Cinder, I love Dark to but Cin is the man for me. As for Dark my fav is when he asks her to go and she tells him yes and his eyes flare with suprise. I love it when a woman takes a mans breath away with little to no words at all!!!!!!

Yeah, I love Circenn too, but alas, Dageus is my fav. I like Circenn and Lisa's story, I love when he shows up at her house after setting everything right with Adam's help. It's stupid, but the only thing I don't like is that Lisa is really tall, I'm short and petite, so I just relate more to them liking petite women, stupid I know...

So, if I follow the "relate" theme, Karen needs to write about a 40-something pre-menapausal woman with a small chest and no butt (but with a charming personality!) who can handle time travel, hiking in the Scottish Highlands and a really, really good looking guy 40-50's, who is firmly established and knows what he wants outta life!

Gosh darnit. I just had to read the whole thread. XD Jo, you just about killed me there and in the morning I'll so need a shower...sadly, my dreams are much worse and don't end until they're done...

My favorite scene. Hmm. Probably when he finds her under the bed. Or when Chloe gives him her wrists so he won't sleep *coughcough* with her. Or when he comes back...definatly when he comes back. Ahhh! So many it's so hard to pick just one.

I would agree with this. Of all the books, this is one I would LOVE to see as a movie. I loved this book the best. I got it at the library last week and read it and I have it ordered but wont be getting it till March, but I couldnt wait that long to read it.

My fave scenes would have to be the stones and the plane.

In my case it would be a mid-30s, overweight woman, with shortish BROWN hair (no golden halo of hair over here), who's nearsighted, likes her own farts and isn't a braniac!
