what you need to do is grab a different book series, just to get you're mind off of the fever, for now. lol but hopefully shadowfever comes out earlie next year.
I just read the lords of the underworld, i must say, with that series i got my obsession with the fever under control.

You are so not alone yankeefan1!! They are like crack, I have to just hide them and quit cold turkey (not that I really know anything about crack but I hear things!). I will not be reading them again until about two weeks from the next release date.

A few other series that are good and substantial enough that by the time you are done reading them, Shadowfever should at least have a release date:

Rachael Morgan series by Kim Harrison
Ghostwalker series by Christine Feehan
Riley Jensen series by Keri Arthur
Stookie Stackhouse serires by Charlaine Harris
Anita Blake series by Laurell K. Hamilton
C.L.Wilson's only series
Succubus Series and Thorn Queen series by Richelle Mead
Anything by Anne Bishop
Black Dagger Brotherhood by J.R.Ward

That shoulld last a few months. If you have any suggestions I'm all ears. I just stole the Twilight books from my daughter and started on those. Being an old-school Anne Rice fan, I've pooh-poohed them for months but actually like them. On Eclipse and it's only the 5th day. I find myself missing "adult" language and scenes though.

Don't forget Lara Adrian, Nalini Singh and Katie MacAlister. Oh and Ilona Andrews and Kresley Cole are also very good. And the Vampire Academy Series. Too many good books.

Also, Lynsay Sands series about the Argeneau family is amazing. I just love her sexy vampire men.

Ive read 3 quarters of the books/authors listed above and llike everyone has said there are MANY MANY other series just as good as KMM's (not better tho lol ) to get addicted to.
My NEW obbsession which has borderlined the #1 spot with KMM's Fever Series is the series by Jeaniene Frost Night Huntress Novels
LOVE EM! and the main man meat Bones is to die for and has many Barron's like qualities and the main character Cat in the series is a force to be reckoned with !
which quenches my anitcipation for Shadowfever and to hear of Barrons and Mac once again!

There are too many books. It's awful. I buy books faster than I can read them. So there are always 10 unread books standing on my book shelf...xD But I just can't help it. I'm always telling myself that buying books is better than spending the money on cigarettes...xD

Mrsmac:
Have you read the Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon? So far they are very good. AND each book is thick and there are now 7 in the series. That should help with the wait???!!!
I agree that the Sookie Stackhouse/Southern Vampire Series are good, too.
AND, my daughter told me that she is taking her Twilight books back. UGH!!!

Best to you!
